We are delighted to welcome our keynote speaker, CT Commissioner of the Department of Housing, Seila Mosquera-Bruno.

Shining Star Awards will be given to area Hispanic business & community leaders: 2019 HOLA (Hispanic Outreach Leaders in Action) Shining Star Honorees: Lydia Heredia – for her dedication as Chairwoman of HOLA for many years, and for her commitment to our community in her many volunteer roles including but not limited to her service with American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Democratic Town Committee, and helping young families for many years with her work at Community Health Center. Oscar Rosado – for his long and distinguished career and service with the CT Army National Guard – retiring with a rank of Sargent Major - and his commitment to the youth in our community through his coaching volleyball at Maloney High School Apollo Maldonado – for sharing his passion for the arts and especially for recent downtown Meriden beautification efforts through his art. Eddie Rivera - – for sharing his passion for the arts and especially for recent downtown Meriden beautification efforts through his art.

Digital Essentials Workshop

Higher Movement Annual Halloween Costume Party & Trunk or Treat

Description: On Saturday, October 19th from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm we will be hosting our 5th annual Halloween Costume Party! At our party there will be dancing, snacks, games and a trunk or treat!

If you would like to be participate in our trunk or treat by decorating your trunk and handing out candy, please let us know. We will be having a contest for best car and the winner will receive 2 FREE recital tickets! Please be sure to let us know ASAP if you would like to decorate your trunk and hand out candy to attendees!

Be sure to wear your costume as well as there will be a few different costume contests!!!
