Felted Landscape Workshop - Winter 2023

Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 10:00 AM–4:00 PM
At Gallery 53

Description: Using a photograph as reference, participants will use the softest of materials, wool roving, as if they were paint, along with a special barbed needle to create a felted landscape on a backing of raw silk.

Students may bring their own landscape photographs (recommended size 8" x 10"), or use one provided by the instructor.

$20 materials fee payable to instructor day of workshop.

Diane Cadrain is a Connecticut artist who uses fiber to create unique and beautiful images. Her work includes hand-painted fabric, felted fibers, machine piecing and quilting, hand embroidery, and beading.

Cost is $100 for members, $110 for non-members + $20 materials fee.

I Love My Library Dinner

Description: Join us at the "I Love My Library" dinner! Look online for the menu and forthcoming information. Tickets are $30/person and you can purchase by mailing checks to : Friends of the Library, c/o Meriden Public Library, 470 Lewis Ave, Uniot 4036, Meriden CT 06451. Put Library dinner in the Memo field. They will also be available Friday mornings at the Library at Frank Ridley's station. We will mail tickets to you if purchased by March 1st. If purchased after, you can pick them up at the dinner.
