January 8, 2002LaRosa has been awarded a contract by the CT Department of Transportation for the Design and Construction of a new International Terminal at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks. This 30,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility has been designed to the exacting specifications of the three Federal agencies occupying the building after moving out of their current over-crowded quarters in terminal "B". These agencies are the U.S. Immigration, Customs, and Agriculture/Public Health Departments. Roofing and exterior walls will begin after the holidays so that the building can be enclosed and heated to allow construction to continue during the winter. Completion and turnover is scheduled for late 2002 at this time. All of the exacting Federal design specifications concerning construction methods, materials, electronic and data systems, security, etc. have been integrated into this facility's design. The staff of LaRosa Building Group has kept in constant communication with CT DOT and all of the Federal agencies throughout the design process to ensure all design criteria have been met. LaRosa Building Group is owned and operated by Robert and Carmela LaRosa since 1979. Operating out of a new 11,000 square-foot facility on Research Parkway, LBG functions as General Contractors, Design-Builders, or Construction Managers depending on the needs of its clients. LBG has active and completed projects throughout Connecticut including schools, town halls, police and fire stations, and a wide range of private corporate & industrial sites.
