Seasonal Flu Vaccinations Available at the Meriden Health Dept.

The Meriden Health Department is now offering seasonal influenza (flu) vaccine to Meriden residents. This year's vaccine includes protection from the H1N1 flu virus. Getting the flu vaccine is the best protection against getting sick from influenza.Yearly flu vaccination is recommended for anyone over the age of 6 months. Any persons allergic to eggs or any part of the flu vaccine are not eligible for the vaccination.
The cost of the vaccine is $25.00 (cash only please). Medicare and Connecticare Medicare HMO are the only insurances accepted at this time. The vaccine will be given at the Health Department, 165 Miller Street, Monday � Friday from 8:30am � 4:30pm. No appointment is necessary.
