Pam White has been awarded a contract by the United States Fire Administration (USFA) to help promote and educate the public about arson. This is the fourth year that Pam has worked with the USFA on this project. Pam will be working with state fire marshal offices around the country as well as the International Association of Arson Investigators and the International Association of Special Investigative Units to help them engage national, regional and local media outlets in delivering the message on arson. She will also be working with these organizations to help create simple, identifiable and unifying messages, develop national events that link local efforts and help raise a communities' awareness. Pam is also the Editor and Chair of the Editorial Board for the International Association of Arson Investigators' quarterly magazine.National Arson Awareness Week is May 5-11, 2002, it is a joint effort with the USFA and the IAAI. It is the hope of all the organizations involved that the word will reach the general public about the perils of arson. This year's theme is "Arson is NOT a victimless crime."
