East Cemetary Volunteers Need Donations of Supplies
August 7, 2008
Volunteers from Meriden residents, Boys & Girls Club, & the Boys Scouts are rescuing East Cemetary from years of neglect. This is the final resting place for veterans from the Revolutionary, Civil & World Wars as well as many founding citizens of Meriden. We are removing overgrown brush from hundreds of grave stones by hand as not to damage the stones. We are cleaning, repairing, & resetting stones as needed. We are looking for donations of time, expertise, financial, and/or supplies.
