American Eagle Financial CU Launches CashPlease

The CashPlease loan expands American Eagle's lending options by considering a member's existing relationship with the Credit Union and deposit transaction history as part of the underwriting process. This approach provides an additional pathway for eligible members who may not qualify through traditional lending channels, helping them address unexpected expenses such as urgent car repairs, broken household appliances, or other unplanned costs.

By offering a lending solution that recognizes a member's unique financial circumstances, CashPlease supports American Eagle's mission of helping individuals achieve greater financial freedom at every stage of their financial journey. The product reflects the Credit Union's commitment to meeting members where they are with personalized solutions designed to provide access, flexibility, and confidence when financial challenges arise.

"Unexpected expenses can happen to anyone. For some of our members, accessing the money they need in those moments can be challenging," said Ashley Rollins, Vice President of Lending Administration at American Eagle Financial Credit Union. "CashPlease considers the specific relationship they have built with American Eagle. Our goal is to provide responsible, accessible options that help members navigate financial setbacks and continue moving forward on their financial journey. Not every member's path looks the same, and this gives us another way to support their individual needs while advancing their long-term financial well-being."

Eligible members receive a predetermined loan amount based on factors such as their transaction history and the length of their relationship with American Eagle. The CashPlease loan features a fixed six-month term, with the flexibility to pay the balance early without a prepayment penalty, and no application or origination fees.

The Credit Union selected CashPlease after evaluating available short-term lending solutions, with flexibility around fees serving as an important consideration. By eliminating the application fee, American Eagle is creating greater access to financial solutions and meeting members where they are, providing support when they need it most and helping them navigate immediate financial challenges.
