WFC Helps Individuals Foster Independence and Empowerment

February 19, 2024

There are many ways that the Women and Families Center meets it's mission to promote equity and quality of life through services that foster empowerment and independence. In the case of Rudy Ramos, our REACH and OpenDoHR programs that provide services for the homeless and employment skill training for individuals that have barriers to employment, worked together to significantly impact her quality of life! Every day the REACH program that is directed by Carissa Conway and her many staff including Faith Roldan, Brian Glidden, John Derricott, Sadie Kreck, Tanika James, and Rania Abu-Sitteh work to support and empower the homeless individuals they serve. And, the OpenDOHR program directed by John Johnson, with his team including Maryvette Morales, Rachel McCollough-Smith work to improve the lives of the adults and young adults through services such as ESL, Family LIteracy, and Employment Training. All staff are incredibly dedicated to meeting our mission and achieve our guiding vision to be the leading agent for positive social change.
