WFC Open DOHR 2016 Fall Training Classes

August 7, 2016

The Women and Families Center Open DOHR is now enrolling for the following programs:

- Human Service Assistant career track will prepare you for entry level positions to determine, coordinate and provide support services to people in need. Students will develop the skills, values and knowledge necessary to effectively assist those who utilize social services. Must be 18-24 years old. Class starts August 29, 2016

- Customer Service & Sales Certification/I-BEST - earn a certificate in Customer Service and Sales while improving basic skills and pursuing a GED/High School Diploma. You will also have the opportunity to increase your computer skills, improve your job-readiness, gain work experience, improve your math and reading scores, and get help with your resume and job search. Students must be a Meriden resident, at least 18 years old, and h have NO High School Diploma. Class starts September 7, 2016.

- Certified Nurse Assistant - The Certified Nurse Assistant career track will prepare you for entry level positions in providing basic patient and resident care and help with daily living activities while improving your basic skills. Class includes scrubs, gait belt, watch, and textbooks Students must be 18-24 years old. The Middlesex Community College Middletown Evening Program starts September 7, 2016. The Meriden Daytime Program starts October 26, 2016.
