Medical Receptionists Ring in the New Year with a Graduation

January 22, 2008

On January 4, 2008 Open DOHR in collaboration with Middlesex Community College graduated six students in its third class of Medical Receptionist students. This unique program combines customer service principles, practical office skills, computer training, and medical office terminology to prepare students for employment in a variety of health care settings. In addition to vocational skills graduates also receive job readiness training and job development services. Open DOHR offers training programs to individuals at no charge through funding provided by the US Department of Labor. If you are between the ages of 18-21 and are interested in participating in the Medical Receptionist training program please contact the Women and Families Center Open DOHR program at (203) 235-9297. Classes begin in April, 2008 and space is limited.
