The Women and Families Center is delighted to announce the recipient of the 2004 Connecticut Woman In Leadership Award: Susan Saint James, actress, entrepreneur and supporter of Special Olympics. Please join us in congratulating Ms. Saint James for this important and noteworthy achievement.

WFC also will be honoring longtime mistress of ceremonies of the luncheon, Joanne Nesti (WVIT-TV), along with the following local women at the event: Advocacy - Joyce Hamilton (Democracy Works); Education - Lynn Siebert (Meriden Board of Education, Lincoln Middle School); Government - Peggy Brennan (City of Meriden, Economic Development); Health Care - Nora Landry (MidState Medical Center, Cancer Care Partnership); Public Service - Sgt. Anita Albanese (Meriden Police Department); Young Woman In Leadership - Heather Tolley-Bauer (Citizens Bank of Connecticut - Middletown Branch)

Susan Saint James and local award recipients will be honored on Thursday, May 6, 2004 at the Women and Families Center's 19th Annual In the Company of Leaders Luncheon at the Aqua Turf Club, Plantsville. Once again, Joanne Nesti will preside over the event as Mistress of Ceremonies. Reserve your ticket today to attend the luncheon at 12:15 p.m. ($55) or attend both the VIP Reception at 11:30 AND luncheon ($75).
