MidState Medical Center has announced the creation of a new Department of Disease Management and Community Health and Wellness. This has been established to consolidate Cardiac Rehab, Pulmonary Rehab, Diabetes and Nutrition Center programs. The Department will also focus on wellness programs in conjunction with the Cancer Care Partnership and continue its collaborative relationship with the community health initiatives, Healthy Meriden, Healthy Wallingford 2000+, and Health Ministry Partnership. The focus of the Community Health and Wellness initiative will be to introduce a variety of wellness and fitness programs to the general and business communities. Kathleen Wietrak, RN has been appointed Clinical Manager and Lynn Faria has been appointed Director of the Department.
