MidState's Amarante Honored with Promotion & Appointmen to Task Force

MidState Medical Center Employee Promoted and Appointed to Statewide Task Force to Develop Heart Disease Reduction Plan - �MidState Medical Center is pleased to announce the promotion of Lynn Amarante, RN to Senior Director of Clinical Initiatives and Cardiac Services. In addition to her recent promotion, Lynn has also been invited by Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Public Health, J. Robert Galvin, MD, MPH, MBA, to sit on a heart disease core planning group. This group is charged with developing a comprehensive heart disease state plan in conjunction with the Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention (HDSP) Program. In this capacity, Lynn will assist with making plans to improve blood pressure and cholesterol control, improve the knowledge of signs and symptoms of a cardiac event, improve emergency response to cardiac events, improve quality of care for heart disease and eliminate heart disease disparities in the state of Connecticut.
