SOCKTOBER
Month long drive for Socks--aka SOCKTOBER.This fall, the Ball Headz Organization in partnership with Designing THEIR future is bringing comfort, kindness and warmth to communities affected by homelessness by hosting a month-long sock drive, aka SOCKTOBER.
Why socks and not food? Because socks ar the most needed article of clothing for the homeless, yet they rarely get donated. There is a real sock shortage in shelters and charities. Brand new socks are a basic necessity and our goal is to provide a warm new pair to as many people as possible. Think about it when your feet get wet or cold, we change our socks, but for some, that is not an option. Together let's make this winter a little warmer for our neighbors.
There are three donation options.
Option #1
Donate gently use socks that you no longer wear. (Socks with holes will not be accepted)
Option #2
Make an Amazon purchase using our registry link: https:/www.amazon.com/wedding/share/SOCKTOBERdrive2020
Option #3
There are 3 drop off locations to leave your donation:
1. Downtown Coffee Shop, 33 West Main St, Meriden, CT 06451
2. Alivia Jordan Salon, 4 River Rd, South Meriden, CT 06451 (next door to Village Barn)
3. The Edge Fitness Center, 533 So. Broad St, Meriden, CT 06450
