Donation Letter, Collecting School Supplies

August 20, 2020

Ball Headz, Inc. is currently collecting donations of school supplies for MERIDEN HOUSES OF FAITH to distribute to youth in need. We are currently asking members of our community todonate school supplies so we will be able to assemble backpacks for distribution before the start of school. Some of the items we are in need of include 3-ring binders, notebooks, paper,pens, pencils, highlighters, crayons, glue sticks, markers, mini hand sanitizer bottles, tissues,wipes, and new backpacks.

Additionally, we are soliciting donations from local businesses to assist in our mission to helpchildren in need to feel fully prepared for the upcoming school year amidst all of the uncertainty they are currently facing. Our current goal is to assemble and distribute at least 100 backpacksto local families.

The support of your business through the donation of supplies or gift cards that will be used to purchase necessary supplies would be greatly appreciated.

We will be distributing the school supplies on August 23 from 1:00-4:00 at our Family CommUNITY Service & Education Day being held at the Meriden Green.

All donations to this project will be used for the sole purpose and benefit of the youth of Meriden to assist with their education. If you have any questions or would like to speak with someone about the school supplies project please contact me anytime. We are an organization that holds a current tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

This letter and subsequent thank you letter indicating your exact donation should be sufficient documentation of your contribution for your tax purposes.
