United Way of Meriden & Wallingford's Week of Action April 1st-8th
March 18, 2025
March 20th is the first day of spring and 2 weeks until the United Way of Meriden & Wallingford's annual Week of Action. Their non-perishable food drive will begin on Tuesday, April 1st. Our local food pantries serve up to 50 households daily, and with future funding uncertain, we're dedicated to supporting their efforts of ensuring no neighbor goes hungry. Their goal is to collect at least 500 non-perishable food items for 4 local food pantries: New Opportunites of Greater Meriden, The Salvation Army-Meride, GLOW Food Ministry Food Pantry, and Master's Manna. Their goad is 500 items. They warmly invite individuals/families, community groups, local businesses, and corporate partners to join the action. You can donate: Cereal, Pasta, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Rice, Canned Vegetables, Canned Soup, Canned/Jarred Sauce. Please remember, 1 can of soup = 1 warm meal for a neighbor in need. Any size donation will truly make a BIG impact! If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact our Marketing & Community Outreach Director, Julia Pelletier at 203-235-4403. Donations can be dropped off at 35 Pleasant St., Suite 1E, Meriden, CT.
