The United Way of Meriden and Wallingford is pleased to announce that James Ieronimo has accepted the position as the Executive Director and will be starting in July.

Currently, Jim is Director of Adult, Career and Continuing Education for Meriden Public Schools. Jim's career in education has included time as a classroom teacher, consultant and administrator. He has also worked for SNET (now ATT) and NYNEX (now Verizon) to design and implement programs that bring innovative technology to the education process.

"Jim's leadership and exceptional ability to develop a sense of vision has earned him the respect of many of his colleagues with which be an asset to United Way", said Frank W. Ridley, President of United Way of Meriden and Wallingford.

Over the last ten years, Jim's focus has been on relationship between adult and family literacy and how they can work to help individuals succeed in the workplace. Active in the community as Past Chairman of the Board for the Greater Meriden Chamber of Commerce and President of the Board of Directors for the Meriden Business Learning Center, he works to ensure that the combination of public education and private enterprise benefits children of all ages and businesses of all sizes. ,p> For recreation, Jim enjoys travel, reading and movies and works hard to incorporate all three into his schedule and resides in Meriden.
