The BCB Group, Inc. has been named advertising agency of record for the U.S. operations of MTU Aero Engines, a leading supplier of aero engine components, assemblies and modules. The agency was selected based on its long aerospace experience and its ability to provide a wide range of in-house services consistent with MTU's ongoing communications requirements. Based in Munich, Germany, MTU has embarked on a strategy dubbed Vision 2010 to make MTU a global aero engine design and manufacturing leader by the year 2010. As its first assignment, the agency developed and implemented a public relations program covering the official launch and grand opening of MTU's new Rocky Hill, Connecticut based engine design subsidiary, MTU Aero Engine Design, Inc. The event, which began at the Radisson, Cromwell, included the official grand opening press conference and reception followed by a reception and tour of the new MTU facility. BCB planned, managed and produced the event including press and political relations, and related print communications materials, room design, graphics and displays, audio/visuals, staging and transportation. The event, which was attended by various Connecticut business representatives, representatives of area Chambers-of-Commerce, and local and state government, featured speeches by Lieutenant Governor M. Jodi Rell, Dr. Hans Steffens, President and CEO of MTU Aero Engines, and Clemens Linden, President and CEO of MTU Aero Engine Design. The BCC Group, Inc, is a fully integrated advertising agency providing advertising, marketing, merchandising and public relations services.
