ConnexCares Awards $75,000 in Grants to Ten Greater New Haven Non-Profits

October 30, 2023

Established in 2022, ConnexCares is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes. They seek to address community needs by promoting financial literacy and well-being, providing financial assistance for education, addressing children's health, and responding to food insecurity needs, as well as other related volunteer and philanthropic activities. The ConnexCares grant program is designed to award financial support to nonprofit organizations in Connex's field of membership that provide community programs or services related to at least one of its three pillars: financial literacy, children's health, and food insecurity. Recently, ConnexCares awarded $75,000 in charitable grant funds to ten greater New Haven nonprofits including:

- All Together Healing which focuses on mental health awareness and providing emotional support, - Discovering Amistad which provides lessons of the 1839 Uprising to advance the education of racial and social injustice of today, - Elena's Light which provides education and resources to refugee women in New Haven, - Fellowship Place which provides free meals to adults living with severe mental illness, - Jump$tart which provides financial literacy to Connecticut's youth - Masters Manna which provides food to homeless, near homeless, and low to moderate-income families facing food insecurity, - National Veterans Council For Legal Redress which provides food to underserved veterans, - New Haven Promise which helps to build city leaders through an academic, college-going, career-launching program, - Greater New Haven Probus Club which helps improves the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and - New Reach's FISH program which provides food to homebound families.

"ConnexCares is committed to the communities we serve and are proud to support thoughtful community partners through our charitable giving grant program", stated Carl Casper, president of ConnexCares. "The ConnexCares charitable grant program reaffirms our commitment to our community and programs that help support financial literacy, children's health, food insecurity, and other worthy community causes."

Nonprofit community organizations are welcome to apply through December 31, 2023. Click here to visit their website and go to ConnexCares and then Grant Program.
