From a Campaign Leader to a Loyal Partner, Pyramid Time Systems honored for work with the United Way

A longtime supporter of the Meriden and Wallingford United Way, Pyramid was recently recognized as a Loyal Community Partner by the organization at their 2011 -2012 Campaign Awards and Recognition Program. MidState Medical Services graciously hosted and sponsored the event, held May 23, 2012, during which several companies and members of the community were acknowledged for their dedication and donations to the United Way. Among the honorees was Pyramid's very own, Martha Gallagher. Devoting her time to numerous United Way events both through work and personally, the Human Resource Manager was given the Outstanding Campaign Coordinator award. This impressive title comes with the responsibility of the annual United Way Campaign, which takes place every fall, encouraging employees to get involved and make pledges to the foundation. "Most people pledge to contribute by payroll deductions so that each week, their contributions add up," says Gallagher. "Pyramid has always matched whatever employees pledge." Thus far, 2012 has brought over $7,000 in pledges and Pyramid has amiably matched it. The charitable HR manager organizes an informative and enjoyable day, during which a representative from the United Way discusses with employees exactly what the foundation does, followed by a lunch and a raffle promoting the desirable prize of a paid day off for anyone who has pledged. Vice President of Finance, Marlowe Gronbeck and Operations Manager, Mark Fahey, of Pyramid, were also recognized during the program as Leaders for their contributions to the foundation.
