Ion Bank Appoints New Trustee & Board of Director

Naugatuck, CT - July 29, 2022 The Board of Directors of Ion Bank recently announced that David D. Scelba has been appointed as an Ion Financial, MHC Trustee & Ion Bank Director effective with the purchase of Lincoln 1st on July 1, 2022. David was a member of their Board of Directors for the past 4 years. Mr. Scelba will contribute to the direction and strategy of the organization for Ion Financial, MHC and its subsidiaries Ion Bank and Ion Investments. David J. Rotatori, President & CEO, Ion Bank said, "David is a great person and a tremendous asset to the already exemplary team we have in place."

Mr. Scelba is President of Scelba Consulting, LLC. He is known in his community for his leadership, mentorship, and civic involvement. He is an Inductee in the New Jersey Advertising Hall of Fame in recognition of his leadership, creativity, professional integrity, philanthropic and economic contributions, and personal involvement in the New Jersey marketing community. He is the recipient of NJ Biz ICON Honor Award celebrating NJ leaders who have achieved a long, fruitful career and continues to be a pioneer, change maker and kick-starter of innovation in their industries.

For his dedicated community service and Chamber of Commerce Business-Person of the Year award, Mr. Scelba received commendations and praise from the New Jersey Senate and General Assembly. He was honored in recognition for operating and managing a respected business with outstanding practices and services, and his personal commitment and involvement in the community. He is an active board member on the New Jersey Association of School Administrators Education and Research Foundation, (NJASAERF). He was a previous board member of the Lighthouse Guild, Better Business Bureau (BBB), The Children's Learning Center (renamed P.G. Chambers School), and Lakeland Bank's Montville, Boonton, and Fairfield Advisory Board. He is a Ship Bottom, New Jersey resident.
