Kelly Smith Joins Ion Financial, MHC as AVP, HR Business Partner

Ion Financial, MHC welcomes Kelly Smith as AVP, Human Resources Business Partner. In this role, Ms. Smith will be responsible for talent acquisition and management, employee relations and engagement along with performance management for the Ion Financial, MHC companies � Ion Bank, Ion Insurance and Ion Investments."Kelly's extensive knowledge of human resources will enable her to engage and influence employees, managers and leaders and provide resources to build relationships which focus on the philosophy and vision of Ion Financial, MHC and its companies," said Tony Denniston, Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer. "We believe the only way to provide our customers with exceptional service is to have exceptional employees on our team."
Prior to joining Ion Bank, she was the Human Resources Leadership Program Manager at United Technologies Corporation in Farmington. Kelly received her Associates Degree in Business Management from Charter Oak State College; she will graduate with a Business Management Bachelor's Degree in August 2019. She volunteers for the Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department and the United Way of Greater Hartford. Kelly is a native of Litchfield and currently resides in Thomaston with her husband James.
