Ion Bank Foundation Awards $4,000 Grant to the Mattatuck Museum

The Ion Bank Foundation has awarded the Mattatuck Museum a $4,000 grant for their Summer Youth Art Program. This grant allows program participants the opportunity to apply for a full or partial scholarship for the program. The Summer Art Program is designed to provide a creative learning environment which educates the participants and develops a solid core understanding of art and history and its importance to the community and society as a whole.

The Ion Bank Foundation was created in 1998 to provide financial support to the communities served by Ion Bank. Reinvesting in local communities is one of the most important duties of a mutual bank. Toward that goal, the Ion Bank Foundation has awarded over $6.1 million to deserving local community and charitable organizations since its inception.
