The Chamber is very pleased to report that Mountainside, a special event facility will remain Mountainside, a special event facility. The Record-Journal reported that on November 9th, 2006, Fred Ulbrich, chairman emeritus of Ulbrich Stainless Steel & Special Metals Inc. in North Haven, and a partner, Joseph J. Vrabely Jr., president of Atlantic Steel and Processing LLC in Waterbury, became the new owners of the banquet and event facility with Kellly Groth Massores and her father James Groth.The Mountainside operation were sold at auction to Ulbrich for $1.65 million plus two back mortgages worth more than $300,000 and back taxes. The sale is contingent upon court approval. We wish the new partners great success in the future and we'll see you all on April 12, 2006 for the Chamber's 111th Annual Meeting and Dinner at Mountainside.
