Food For Thought

Food for thought is the Boys & Girls Club of Meriden's nightly meal program which serves our Members a good dinner and someone to listen to how their day went. This popular and transforming program is a great way to get our Members to sit down and have a quiet meal every school night (No phones or screens allowed!!). Our Table Host sit at a table with 4 to 6 kids, and just have a normal conversation with them, whole enjoying a dinner together. Studies indicate that these shared meals have a profound effect on the future success of our children.We are looking for Volunteers willing to engage our Members with questions about their day, their favorite sports team, TV show or book�Just get a real conversation going.
