Masonicare Names Ellen Casey Assistant Nursing Home Administrator

Masonicare is pleased to announce that Ellen Sprafke Casey, R.D., LNHA, has been named Assistant Nursing Home Administrator at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford. In this role, she will assist in the overall operations of the Health Center in accordance with customer needs, government regulations and company policies, with a focus on maintaining quality care for residents and patients.

A Wallingford resident, Ms. Casey received a B.S. in Dietetics from University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford and she earned her certificate in Long-Term Care Administration at the University of Connecticut. She comes to Masonicare from Genesis Healthcare, where she was a Nursing Home Administrator. Prior to that, she worked as a Consultant Dietitian to nursing homes throughout Connecticut.

Masonicare Health Center has 382 beds providing short-term and long-term care, as well as dementia care and many specialty services. In making the announcement, Melinda Schoen, Masonicare's Vice President of Administration, said: "We are fortunate to have someone from the local community join our leadership team. Ellen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role, and shares our deep commitment to providing the highest quality care."
