Hilde Sager Named Executive Director of Masonicare at Ashlar Village in Wallingford

October 15, 2013

Hilde Sager of Southington was recently promoted to the position of Executive Director for Masonicare at Ashlar Village, Masonicare's continuing care retirement and assisted living community on Cheshire Road in Wallingford. The community, one of the largest in Connecticut, has more than 600 residents.

In making the announcement, Jon-Paul Venoit, Masonicare's Sr. VP of Residential & Community Based Services, said, "Hilde has held increasingly responsible management positions within Masonicare at Ashlar Village and has proven she has the necessary leadership skills to guide us into the future. We are both pleased and fortunate to have Hilde serve as an important member of Masonicare's executive management team." In addition to her new responsibilities, Ms. Sager will continue to oversee the more than 170 independent living apartments at Masonicare Health Center.

Ms. Sager is a graduate of North Park College in Chicago, Illinois, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Communications. She joined Masonicare at Ashlar Village in 2004 as Marketing Manager, was promoted to Director of Marketing the following year, and had been serving as the retirement community's Assistant Administrator for Independent Living prior to her promotion.

Ms. Sager recently completed the inaugural Leadership Academy program developed by LeadingAge Connecticut, a membership organization representing more than 130 not-for-profit provider organizations serving elderly and disabled individuals. She is a member of the board of directors of the Greater Meriden Chamber of Commerce and also serves on the Chamber's Health and Wellness Committee.

Ms. Sager, her husband Doug, and their two children are Southington residents.
