Susan Larson of Meriden Named Wellness Coordinator for Masonicare at Ashlar Village

In this role, Ms. Larson is responsible for providing health-related services and education designed to promote and enhance the well-being of the retirement community's residents.

Ms. Larson is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and she also received certification in elementary education from Southern Connecticut State University. Prior to joining Masonicare, Ms. Larson's nursing career includes employment as a staff nurse at Hartford Hospital and MidState Medical Center and Wellness Nurse at the Wallingford Senior Center. She has also worked as a nursing supervisor for Apple Rehab/Coccomo in Meriden.

In making the announcement, Hilde Sager, Masonicare's Assistant Administrator for Independent Living, said, "As an active nurse for more than 25 years, Susan brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to the residents of Masonicare at Ashlar Village. And with her warm, hospitable and helpful personality, her presence will be beneficial and most appreciated by residents and staff alike."

Ms. Larson, her husband, Kevin and their two daughters are Meriden residents.
