David M. Santoro, MBA, OTR/L, was recently appointed to the position of Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation Services for Masonic Healthcare Center of Wallingford and Jean Festa, MPH, OTR/L, was promoted to the position of Manager of Outpatient Rehabilitation Services. The announcements were made by Vincent J. Klimas, Vice President for Ambulatory and Rehabilitative Services.In announcing the appointments, Klimas said, "David has several years of rehabilitation and management experience in the healthcare field, currently serving in adjunct faculty positions with Quinnipiac University and Briarwood College. Jean, in addition to her ten years of outstanding service to Masonic Healthcare Center as manager of occupational therapy services and coordinator of the Center's low vision program, has several years of prior occupational therapy and management experience working in area hospitals and home care. Their combined knowledge and expertise will be a valuable asset as we continue to expand the services offered in our comprehensive rehabilitation department. We are very pleased and fortunate to have them guide our dedicated team of rehabilitation professionals."
Santoro, a resident of Avon, holds a B.S. degree in Medical Technology, an Occupational Therapy degree from Quinnipiac College, and an MBA in Health Care Management from the University of Connecticut. Prior to his appointment, Santoro most recently served as the Area Director/Manager of Rehabilitation Services at Health Resource Alliance in the Greater Hartford area and the Director of Rehabilitation at Harborside Healthcare in West Hartford.
Festa, a resident of Unionville, holds a B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Kansas and a Master of Public Health from the University of Connecticut. Masonic Healthcare Center is an affiliate of Wallingford-based Masonicare, the state's largest not-for-profit provider of senior-focused healthcare services and retirement living community. Other affiliates include Ashlar Village of Wallingford, Ashlar of Newtown, The Masonic Charity Foundation of Connecticut, and Connecticut VNA and Connecticut VNA, SE, which is also an affiliate of The William W.
