The Permanent Collection

Gallery 53, located in Downtown Meriden at 53 Colony Street, will host an exhibit of their permanent collection from Saturday, February 9 through February 22. An opening reception will be held on the 9th from 2-4 p.m. The Arts and Crafts Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to the cultural enrichment of the community. Founded in 1907, it is one of the oldest visual arts organizations in the state of Connecticut. To further interest in arts and crafts in the Meriden area. The mission of the organization is: To promote fellowship and exchange of ideas among active artists, craftspersons, patrons and others (the general public) throughout Connecticut; To encourage appreciation of the arts by means of educational programs, exhibits, workshops, and lectures; To encourage beginners in arts and crafts.
