Internship Sites needed

Lincoln College of New England (formerly Briarwood College in Southington, CT) believes that "experience is the best teacher." Thus, they stress the importance of providing their students with opportunities to have real, hands-on experiences within their actual fields of interest, rather than only classroom study.Internships create a unique benefit for the student, as they give a glimpse into the real world of work, along with experience that may be included on a resume. This experience will help the student learn even more about what will be expected of them in their chosen career. Just as students used to serve as "apprentices" to learn their craft from mentors in generations past, Lincoln College of New England students are encouraged to seek out and participate in every relevant internship they - and we - can arrange for their advantage. Fellow chamber members, YOU can participate. It is a win for the student and for you, the employer. One intern site has hired three of their past interns! Lincoln is seeking internship sites for the following experiences: Criminal Justice; Health Information Administration & Technology; Funeral Service Management / Mortuary Science; Dental Hygiene / Administration / Dental Assistants; Hospitality Management; Accounting; Broadcasting; Business Management; Fashion Merchandising; Marketing; Medical Assistant; Occupational Therapy Assistant.
