Kuhn Receives Help on Behalf of Dr. King

The true spirit of Martin Luther King Jr. Day was present at Kuhn Employment Opportunities this past Monday. Twenty-one volunteers from Cheshire based engineering firm Milone and MacBroom, gathered to give service for the day. Engineers, landscape architects, transportation planners, and more painted three large work spaces for the Kuhn participants. "Our space was in need of some freshening up" states Robert Stephens Kuhn's executive director. The firm also donated design plans to improve Kuhn's facilities. Kuhn's main site on 1630 North Colony Road houses work programs for over 100 program participants a day. Kuhn is a Meriden based nonprofit which provides employment opportunities for people with disabilities. The agency is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary this year. Milone and MacBroom has a long and successful relationship with the city of Meriden. The firm is currently handling the design and implementation of the Downtown Meriden "Hub" project.
