Kuhn Employment Opportunities, Inc. has appointed Erin Banks as the new manager of its vocational programs for individuals with psychiatric disabilities. These programs are coordinated from Kuhn's Middletown office and include supported employment and vocational mentor services funded by the Department of Mental Health and Addictive Services (DHMAS) and the Middlesex United Way. As the Manager of Kuhn's Middletown-based Programs, Ms. Banks will be responsible for the development and implementation of these services as well as overall supervision of program personnel, development of job placement, coordination with support services and other day-to-day operations.Banks brings with her significant experience in the field of psychiatric rehabilitation having served as a Kuhn Employment specialist for over three years. In addition, prior work and volunteer activities have included supervision at the YMCA, support of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) and involvement in Special Olympics, Village for Families & Children and retail management. Ms Banks holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Hartford. She resides in Wethersfield, Connecticut.
