Robert Stephens, Executive Director of the Kuhn organization, presented Dawn Amell and Kirby Hart with the Ernest B. Kuhn Memorial Awards for their outstanding dedication to enhancing the lives of persons with disabilities. The special award is presented annually to Kuhn employees who especially exemplify the dedication of Ernest B. Kuhn, a founder of the Kuhn not-for-profit organization. Ms. Amell facilitates Kuhn's Vocational Mentor Program for individuals with psychiatric disabilities and Mr. Hart is a Kuhn Job Coach providing supervision to developmentally disabled workers. The Kuhn organization was also recognized by the Meriden-Wallingford and the Middlesex United Ways for their increased employee support of their campaigns. Joseph Baker, Executive Director of the Meriden-Wallingford United Way presented campaign co-chairs, Denise D'Ambrosio and Susan Yantz of Kuhn with the achievement award. Earlier in the year, Kevin Wilhelm, Executive Director of the Middlesex United Way, and his staff presented Kuhn with the Silver Achievement Award.
