Connexcares announces the Launch of Grant Program

April 9, 2023

Connex Credit Union announced that applications are now being accepted for the ConnexCares Grant program. The Grant program supports community activities that mostly align with one of its three pillars including financial literacy, children's health, and food insecurity.

Organizations that are tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code are invited to apply for the ConnexCares Grant program for a minimum of $5,000 and up to $20,000 of grant funds. Applicants must demonstrate an ability to meet community needs, have measurable goals, and be located in Hartford, Middlesex, New Haven, or Fairfield County. Preferences for grant funds will be awarded to organizations that align with one of ConnexCares' three pillars: financial literacy, children's health, or food insecurity.

There are two Grant application periods: Grant applications accepted between January 1 through June 30 will be awarded by August 31, and applications accepted from July 1 through December 31 will be awarded by February 28.

The ConnexCares Grant program demonstrates Connex's continued commitment to addressing community needs by supporting local non-profits that address the needs of a larger community. For questions about the ConnexCares Grant program or to apply, visit connexcu.org and click on ConnexCares Grant Program or email ConnexCares@connexcu.org.
