80,000 toys are waiting for you in the newly renovated Barker Character, Comic and Cartoon Museum. We invite you to stop by for a self-guided tour through the country's largest collection of comic strip, cartoon, TV, western, and advertising collectibles. Here you will meet the most influential comic creations of the past 130 years and see the wealth of merchandise that they were pictured on. Each exhibit shows the current market value of your old toys, although nothing is for sale.The extensive grounds feature life-sized cartoon cut-outs for photo opportunities, the largest cartoon mural in CT and an art gallery where you can view or purchase animation art in every price range.
Groups are welcome, although we ask that you call Laurie at 203-272-2222, ext. 238 to schedule in advance. All visitors receive a free museum souvenir.
Museum hours are Wed. through Sat. from 12 noon to 4 pm. Admission for Adults is $5.00, Children 12 & under is $3.00, and free for children 2 & under. Take a virtual tour or get directions to the museum at www.barkermuseum.com.
