Stanley Hancock, who passed away last year, was fondly remembered by City Councilmembers as a caring and generous man committed to the City's business community. The Council approved a resolution which specified a $1,000 Community Service Scholarship named after Stanley. The scholarship will be given yearly to a high school graduate who is going to a two- or four-year college. To qualify, students must do 100 hours of community service and have a certain grade point average.
