Curtis Home Receives 5 Star Rating

Paul Sprague, Executive Director of The Curtis Home is proud to share on behalf of his staff and Board of Directors, that the facility - providing specialized care for the elderly - once again receiving a 5 star rating on Medicare's Nursing Home Compare ---(one being the worst and five being the best)!The Curtis Home is pleased to announce its recent Five-Star ranking with the new Medicare "Nursing Home Compare" tool. The Nursing Home Compare tool was devised by Medicare to support families' needs when researching and assessing nursing homes that best meet specific needs and criteria. All nursing homes that are certified to participate in Medicare and/or Medicaid are including on Nursing Home Compare. "The Five-Star Quality Rating System was created to help consumers, their families and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily and help identify areas about which you may want to ask questions," notes the Medicare.gov website. "Nursing homes vary in the quality of care and services they provide to their residents. Reviewing health inspection results, staffing data, and quality measure data are three important ways to measure nursing home quality. This information gives you a "snap shot" of the care individual nursing homes give."
The Curtis Home's Five-Star ranking is one of only a handful of nursing homes in the state to receive this recognition. "We take very seriously the mission of providing superb care to our residents and this ranking is a strong indicator to us that we are successful in that mission," remarked Paul Sprague, Executive Director of the Curtis Home. "Not only are we pleased that Medicare has developed this invaluable resource, we are proud to be representative of the quality of care that Medicare deems exceptional."
