Child-Friendly Hours at American Job Centers in New Haven & Meriden

Jobseekers can now keep their appointments, attend workshops and utilize computer labs to search for jobs and work on resumes during Child-Friendly hours at American Job Centers in New Haven and Meriden.

Monday through Friday from 2:30-4:30 PM, children may accompany adults to activities at 560 Ella T. Grasso Blvd., New Haven or 87 West Main Street, Meriden. In addition to one-on-one appointments with employment specialists, both locations have staffed Career Centers that are open to the public where jobseekers may access job boards, create and send out resumes and complete applications. No appointment is necessary. Career Centers include free access to computers, copy and fax machines.

New public workshops have been added starting March at all four American Job Center locations in New Haven, Meriden, Middletown and Hamden. To register for any workshop or hiring event, please call or stop by any location, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
