The Curtis Home recently hired a new Director of Children's Services, David H. Tomkins. Mr. Tomkins previously worked at the Children's Center in Hamden and the Astor Home for Children in New York. He plans to create a "Safe Homes" program for victims of child abuse, monitor the growth of the Curtis School in Cheshire, and meet the challenge of the lessening of hospital stays for children prior to entrance to the Curtis Home.
