Allen M. Brown was recently named Vice President, Administration and Practice Management, for Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford. The Center's President, Arthur E. Santilli, made the announcement. Mr. Brown has extensive experience in the healthcare field. His professional background includes senior management positions with both Albert Einstein Medical Center and Shadyside Hospital in Pennsylvania, Community Medical Center in New Jersey, Danbury Hospital in Connecticut, and St. Luke's Medical Center in New York. He formerly served as CEO for The APT Foundation in New Haven and as VP of Operations for Danbury Hospital. Immediately prior to joining Masonicare, Mr. Brown was Administrator for the William & Sally Tandet Center for Continuing Care in Stamford. As Vice President, Administration & Practice Management, Mr. Brown will oversee several of Masonic Healthcare Center's operations departments and the practices of Pyramid Primary Care Physicians and Trilogy Psychiatric Services. In making the announcement, Mr. Santilli said, "Allen comes to us with a solid background in healthcare operations and organizational management. As we continue to expand our programs, services and physician practices, we are fortunate to have someone with his experience join the leadership and service excellence team."Mr. Brown received a BA degree from Rutgers University and an MBA in Health Administration from Temple University. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a licensed nursing home administrator in Connecticut. He has served on the Boards of Directors of the Connecticut Community Providers Association, Connecticut Association of Non-Profits, and the Danbury chapter of the American Red Cross. Mr. Brown resides in Stamford with his wife, Susan. The couple has three children. Masonic Healthcare Center is an affiliate of Masonicare, Connecticut's leading not-for-profit provider of senior healthcare and retirement living. Other Masonicare affiliates include Ashlar Village, Ashlar of Newtown, Connecticut VNA, and The Masonic Charity Foundation of Connecticut.
