Insuring Connecticut's Uninsured

Did you know that 43,000 uninsured children in Connecticut may be eligible for Medicaid, but are not enrolled? Community Health Center, Inc. (CHC) is a statewide primary care organization with a goal of connecting all children to health care�and to health insurance. We want to partner with community organizations to find and enroll Connecticut's eligible but uninsured children. We have developed a unique, mobile, electronic screening and enrollment application process. Our outreach workers can come to you, in your neighborhood and to community organizations, to screen and assist children�and often their parents�in applying.

Community Health Center, Inc. provides medical, dental and behavioral health services for people of all ages. If someone does not have insurance but wants care, we can provide health services on a sliding scale, based on the individual's income. An Access to Care worker can help determine a person's eligibility for public benefits and help him or her apply.
