A Message from the Child Guidance Clinic for Central Connecticut

Self-esteem. Managing emotions. Self respect. Constructive thinking.

At the Child Guidance Clinic for Central Connecticut, we've been particularly focused on these concepts this summer. In our group therapy sessions:

-Teen girls are dealing with issues related to self image, substance use, self-harm and anger management.
-Children exhibiting antisocial or withdrawn behavior are working to increase their social and emotional abilities.
-Pre-teen girls who have experienced trauma from abuse or neglect are encouraged to express themselves with art therapy.

It all adds up to helping children grow into healthy adults.

It is through continued support of local community members like you that we can in turn offer help to the children who so desperately need it. For that we thank you, and wish you a summer full of good times with your family and friends.
