Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven is looking for people who want to make a difference in someone's life. There are many adults registered with Literacy Volunteers who are waiting for a literacy tutor to give them the help they need with basic literacy skills to get a better job, help their child succeed in school, or participate in the life of their community. The next Tutor Training Certification Class will begin on May 20, 2003 at the Meriden Public Library. Training sessions will be held on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. beginning May 20th. The last session is June 24th. Attendance at all sessions is required. Volunteers must have excellent reading, writing, and English speaking skills.
