The City of Meriden, Department of Health, in coop ...

April 17, 2002

The City of Meriden, Department of Health, in cooperation with the CT Veterinary Medical Association, is offering a low cost rabies clinic. According to CT State Law, all cats and dogs three months of age or older MUST be vaccinated against rabies. Low cost vaccinations are available through the Rabies Clinic scheduled for Saturday, May 18th at Hubbard Park, Maintenance Garage. The clinic will run from 1-3 p.m. The cost is $ 12.00 per vaccine (cash only). Pet owners on public assistance may receive one free vaccine by showing their State Public Assistance Identification Card. Written proof showing prior vaccination is required for a three-year vaccine, otherwise a one-year certificate will be issued. For the safety of your pet and the volunteers, if your dog does not get along with other animals or is aggressive, please use a muzzle. In addition, all cats must be in a carrier and all dogs must be on a leash. Contact Scott Bryden, RS, MBA, Environmental Health Administrator, at 203-630-4226.
