Flu Vaccines Available for Meriden Children

The CT Department of Public Health requires that by January 1, 2012, and each January thereafter, children between 6 months and 5 years of age attending pre-school, a child day care center, group day care home, or family day care home are required to be vaccinated against seasonal flu. Children will need to receive the vaccine by January 1, 2012 on order to stay enrolled in their daycare. If you are unable to obtain the flu vaccine for your child please contact the Meriden Health Department. The Department provides the flu vaccine free of charge to all Meriden children. The Department also offers flu vaccine for adults - the cost is $25.00 and Medicare and ConnectiCare Medicare HMO is accepted.
