Meriden Movers Starts Up Again
August 5, 2008
The late summer/fall session of the Meriden Movers community walking program will start again the week of August 18, 2008.We will hold group walks on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting at 5:30 at the Quinnipiac River Linear walking trail in South Meriden. The first walk will be Tuesday, August 19. Group facilitator Lea Crown will be attending the first week, and then after that on Tuesdays only.
Pedometers and walking logs are available now at the Health Department and will also be available at the first 2 group walks. A limited number of t-shirts are available from the spring session; please notify Lea at 203-630-4238 if you need one. Health screenings will not be offered this session, but there is a BMI machine at the health department if you are interested. We also offer total cholesterol screenings for a minimal cost, please see www.meridenhealth.com for dates and times.
