Workplace Wellness Presentations Available

As part of a new women's cardiovascular health program, the Meriden Health Department is offering free "lunch and learn" presentations to Meriden businesses on the following topics: Controlling high blood pressure and high blood cholesterol; Recognizing the signs and symptoms of heart attack and stroke and a demonstration of CPR and AED use, as well as when to call 9-1-1; and Making healthy lifestyle decisions, such as walking 10,000 steps a day for better health or making healthy choices when eating on the run.The programs will focus on women's health; but anyone can attend. Any interested business should call Lea Crown, Community Health Educator, to schedule a lunch and learn. She can be reached at 630-4238.
