On February 2, the Meriden Health Department will be hosting a lunch and learn event on women's heart health . The event will be held from 12:00-1:00pm at the Meriden Public Library, 105 Miller Street. Even though the event will focus on women's health, men are invited to attend as well!On this day, the Health Department will have American Heart Association "Red Dress" pins available for sale. The pins will be $5.00 each. All proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association.
Many agencies/organizations/businesses offer a "dress down Friday". Many have promoted the American Heart Association's "Red Dress" campaign by having employees pay $5.00 to purchase a pin and "dress down".
Pins are available at the Meriden Health Department, 165 Miller Street. Please call Lea Crown, Health Educator, at 630-4238 if your organization/business would like to purchase some pins in advance to wear the day of the event.
You do not have to purchase a pin to attend the event - just pack your bag lunch and join us for an informative afternoon!
