We are piloting a new program to help get Meriden Walking! Do you have a favorite place you like to walk in Meriden? Is it near your house, in your neighborhood, at a friend's house or in a local park? We'd love for you to share it with us! We plan to place a variety of community walks on the Meriden Health Department website ( www.meridenhealth.org)in the months to come.We are requesting the following information: a name for your walk or route, the streets you walk, with directions and a map if possible, the distance of your walk, whether or not there are sidewalks, if there are low or high amounts of traffic, and whether it is easy, medium, or hard to walk for the average person. We encourage individuals, churches, youth and community groups and businesses to participate! Be sure to include you name, a daytime phone number, email address, home address and don't forget a catchy name for your walking route. We will contact you if you route with be included on the website. We appreciate your time and can't wait to see your maps online!
